What is ClueDay?

ClueDay is the hidden-word option in this collection. It combines clue interpretation with letter feedback, so each attempt can teach you something in two ways. It is included as a related game, not as another name for Clueffy or a verified featured video.

How to play ClueDay

1. Read the first clue and think of a six-letter word it could describe.
2. Enter a guess and inspect the letter feedback.
3. A wrong guess unlocks the next clue. Combine it with what you already know.
4. Solve the word before your five guesses are used.

ClueDay scoring explained

The standard feedback marks a correctly placed letter green and a present but misplaced letter orange. Expert Mode removes the position information. Your aim is to solve using as few clues and guesses as you can.

ClueDay strategy & tips

Keep every clue active

A new clue does not replace an earlier one. Your candidate should explain all the clues you have unlocked. If it only fits the latest clue, pause and check it against the first.

Use meaning and letters together

Write a short mental list of meanings the clue could suggest, then filter those candidates with the letter feedback. Switching between semantics and spelling is more efficient than working in only one direction.

Try a different interpretation

A clue can point to a phrase, a different sense of a word or a piece of wordplay. If a literal reading leads nowhere, consider another meaning before committing your next guess.
